Hi,

is it possible to get the title of a layer with REST?

Using this basic request, it seems to my that only the name is returned.
http://localhost:8080/geoserver/rest/layers/my_layer.json

Thanks !

Hi,

The layer title, abstract, etc ... are available on the layer resource.
The resource maybe a coverage or a feature type. The link to the
layer resource will provided on the layer payload.

For example, your example request will contain something like
this (I used tiger_roads as an example layer):

"resource": {
"@class": "featureType",
"name": "tiger_roads",
"href": "http://<host:port>/geoserver/rest/workspaces/tiger/datastores/nyc/featuretypes/tiger_roads.json"
}
